My wife and I are raising three kids in Central Phoenix, near the Phoenix Mountain Preserve, where we spend a lot of time hiking.
Creativity has always been at my core. Before product design, I drummed in post-hardcore and post-punk bands (Yancey in Phx, Holy Boys in SD). I started by designing and silkscreening t-shirts for friends, then created flyers for local bands using old-school cut-and-paste techniques at Kinko's. My formal design journey began when I co-founded and bootstrapped a music and skate shop. There, I handled all the branding, marketing, and graphic design while building a tight-knit community. When the 2008 housing crash forced us to close, I pivoted to art school—eventually finding my way to digital product design.
Today, I bring that same DIY spirit to executing ideas from concept to implementation. I combine research, data, and design thinking to solve genuine user problems. My passion lies in improving people's lives through technology and design. I thrive in environments that encourage experimentation, treat failure as growth, and welcome new ideas regardless of organizational hierarchy. Through my product experience across healthcare, finance, and education, I've learned to stay adaptable while keeping users at the heart of everything I do.
